Construction Sensory Table

It's a sensory table with construction vehicles!  Sensory play is important as young children discover their world, experiment with their surroundings, and build new frames of reference for the rest of their experiences.  This construction sensory table is easy to set up, quick to clean up, and incredibly fun!

Simply place your construction vehicles and other construction equipment (in our case, a bulldozer) on an outdoor child's table and add shaving cream.  You can get cheap shaving cream at the dollar store or use the convenient affiliate link at the end of this post.

The best thing about sensory play is that your children will know what to do...or they will figure it out very quickly!

Make sure your children get a chance to spray shaving cream too--it's a great fine motor strengthening exercise for them!

I love this mess!  Construction vehicles (and foamy sensory fun!) are for everyone--my girls loved this as much as my boys!  All the kids played together for about 25 minutes, and then two children continued to "work" at the table for another 15 minutes.

When everyone is done, just wash the table and machines off with your garden hose.

Do your kids love construction vehicles and all things construction?  Be sure to check out my construction truck names post & free poster, free construction board game, free -and word family construction puzzles, and construction preschool packet!

And, here are some Amazon affiliate links for shaving cream, an outdoor table, and construction toys.  You never pay more for clicking through these links, but we get a small commission for referring you.

I may share at any of these parties!
