Cake Sprinkle Names Preschool Activity

We are always working on activites to help our preschoolers learn how to recognize, spell, read, and write their names...and this cake sprinkle project is one we love to revisit!

It is so super simple: just use glue (or pipe frosting, if you want it to be edible) to write your kiddos' names on paper plates. Paper plates are much sturdier than plain paper.  ;)

Then give your preschoolers an assortment of cake sprinkles, and let them get to work!

When they're done, shake the extra sprinkles off and let it dry!

Besides being loads of fun (my older kids even wanted to decorate their names!), it is also great fine motor exercise and good pre-writing practice!

Here's a video summary:

I'd love to see pictures if you try it!!
