Dinosaur Egg Number Matching - Free Preschool Activity

Do your preschoolers love dinosaurs? If so, this is the best week ever!! To celebrate my new book, A Dinosaur Made Me Sneeze, I am sharing loads of FREE dinosaur activities, starting with this dinosaur number matching set!!

Preschool Dinosaur Printable

This is the first activity in my 10-day Preschool Dinosaur Activities series! Check out the rest HERE (there's also a gift card giveaway in that post--scroll to the bottom for details)!!

This printable activity includes 12 dinosaurs with different numbers of dots on them and 12 eggs with numbers printed on them.

You can play endless matching games with them!

My daughter wanted to cut them out -- her four-year old fingers only managed 5 of them before they got tired, but it only took me about 2 minutes to finish cutting them out.

The first thing she wanted to do was line up the 12 eggs, and match each dinosaur to them. She (literally--her idea!) decided we needed to make it a game, so she "dealt" out the dinosaur "cards" to us, and we each took turns counting the dots and matching them to the correct egg.

Other ideas I had for ways to use these include the following:

1- Placing them all upside down and playing memory or matching games with them.

2- Gluing the eggs down to a file folder to make a file folder matching game.

3- Gluing the eggs and dinosaurs onto cardstock to make cards to play games like Old Maid or Go Fish.

First, I want to share my new book with you! This is my first picture book! It combines silly characters with rock cycle science--it is both fun to read out loud and fun to look at the pictures! I would love to invite YOU to JOIN ME in its first hardcover print run! You can learn more (and see some of the inside pages!) HERE! Let me know if you have any questions--I am SUPER excited about this!! <3
