Snowman File Folder Game and Writing Practice (free printable)

It's winter and everybody loves snowmen!  Today, I have a fun pattern-based Snowman File Folder Game with a writing practice page for you...and, it's a free printable!  To make the file folder game, cut out the hats and laminate them.  Cut out the snowmen and tape them to the inside of a file folder.  Let your child match the hats to the scarves with the same pattern!  This can be an individual activity, but we did it as a group--those poor snowmen were so cold without their hats and everybody wanted to help!  Re-create the patterns with colored blocks or crayons!  We also followed up with some other icy activities!  If your child is learning to write, he may enjoy the tracing/writing page that is attached as well.

Nice, I like this idea. I have a lot of kids in my class that need writing practice and this looks like a fun way to get them to write. Also, I wish I had time to make more file folder games. Kind Words Sensory Lesson Friendship Activity

This sensory lesson includes a kindness activity for kids that is short and sweet,  and makes teaching kindness a beautiful thing! Learning to use kind words with our friends is one friendship lesson that I think we can never cover enough...kids always need reminding (sometimes adults do too)!  You will need these simple supplies for the kindness activity: cotton balls, course sandpaper, cup, Should I Share My Ice-Cream by Mo Willems Directly teaching good friendship skills, like using kind words, serves two purposes: 1- You can refer to the lesson when someone forgets or needs reminding, and 2- These skills are not intuitive for all preschoolers. This is a perfect age to bring empathy and kindness to their attention and help them cultivate these skills! Crazy Cool Giraffe Science Experiment

Do you know what color giraffe skin is? Today we're using a capillary action science experiment to make our own giraffe skins in this fun giraffe science experiment project!
