Young children can color the page with crayons, paints, markers, and more. Try filling in the picture with play dough, torn paper, or gluing real straw to the nest!
Coloring pages strengthen fine motor skills which prepares children to write sooner and longer. They also provide an opportunity to review colors.

Thanks for these, Carla! I've printed a few off for the daycare kids to colour today....after we go sledding on the 2 feet of new snow that has fallen and hasn't stopped yet.
Wow! I can't believe you're still getting snow! We planted tomatoes last week, and yesterday almost reached 90 degrees!
