Apple Piece Names
Use this apple themed way to practice spelling and recognizing names as you start school this year!
We are kicking off the school year with apple themed activities for the Virtual Book Club for Kids! Today I'm sharing a super simple (and edible!) way for your kiddos to practice spelling their names!
This is doubly fun because you can nibble on apples, talk about letters, and spend time with your kiddos' names all at the same time!
Preparation is easy! Use a marker to write each child's name on a piece of colored paper and slide the paper inside a sheet protector. The colored paper makes a nicer contrast for the apple slices, but white paper works also.
Give each child a pile of apple sticks and let them "build" their name using the paper as a guide!
Are you doing an apple theme this year? If so, you should check out my collection of apple activities--everything from science and math to literacy! Just CLICK HERE to go to our apple theme activities! (One of our favorites is the edible bubble science!)
Like I mentioned earlier, this week's Virtual Book Club is all about apples too! Our highlighted book is Ten Red Apples! (Image below is an Amazon affiliate link:)
