2013 Perfectly Pumpkin Contest!!

Pumpkins! Pumpkins! Pumpkins!  Pumpkins are one of the best parts of fall, and right now there are pumpkins all over the internet!  It's time to gather your best pumpkin projects together in the 2013 Perfectly Pumpkin Contest!!

Last year B-Inspired Mama hosted the inaugural Perfectly Pumpkin Contest--it was a huge hit with over 120 creative pumpkin ideas! (You should check out last year's winners here--they were amazing!!)

This year I am joining with B-Inspired Mama, Learning & Growing the Piwi Way, and Gift of Curiosity to bring you the 2013 Perfectly Pumpkin Contest!  It will be full of ideas you can use with your kiddos, in classrooms, with your families, at parties, and just for fun.  Bring your own projects--we would love to see what you've done!  This contest will be huge!  Everything you enter will be seen on all four blogs, and promoted by more people than ever before!

And the best part...there will be fun prizes too!!

Four amazing judges will choose a grand prize winner in each of the following four categories: 

 Pumpkin Kids Activities
Pumpkin Crafts
Pumpkin Carving/Decorating
Pumpkin Recipe

You don't have to pick a category when you enter...the judges will choose!  Super easy!!

Kind Words Sensory Lesson Friendship Activity

This sensory lesson includes a kindness activity for kids that is short and sweet,  and makes teaching kindness a beautiful thing! Learning to use kind words with our friends is one friendship lesson that I think we can never cover enough...kids always need reminding (sometimes adults do too)!  You will need these simple supplies for the kindness activity: cotton balls, course sandpaper, cup, Should I Share My Ice-Cream by Mo Willems Directly teaching good friendship skills, like using kind words, serves two purposes: 1- You can refer to the lesson when someone forgets or needs reminding, and 2- These skills are not intuitive for all preschoolers. Crazy Cool Giraffe Science Experiment

Do you know what color giraffe skin is? Today we're using a capillary action science experiment to make our own giraffe skins in this fun giraffe science experiment project!
