52 Preschool Themes (& FREE 2016-2017 Preschool Theme Calendar!)

My favorite way to organize preschool is to focus our activities around preschool themes!

You can choose themes based on holidays, your preschoolers' interests, or just fun topics! Using a theme groups learning activities together into a more cohesive format so your children remember new things better. Click here to learn more about how young children's brains work.

Sometimes it's just helpful to have theme ideas when you're planning, so today I am sharing 52 fun preschool themes and weeks that they could correspond with for the 2016-2017 school year! They are the same themes that I feature in my new preschool curriculum (more on that at the end of this post)!

I'm also sharing a FREE theme planning page for this school year (2016-2017). I'll put the link for that after the theme list!

UPDATE: I'm linking preschool themes I've published to the topics below! The activities are different than in HEEP, but they're still AWESOME!

I love your 52 theme ideas for kids. What i like even more is how you have them spread out over the 52 weeks in a year with a different theme for each week. That is great! I suppose that is a really great way to stay prepared and organized. I will definitelt have t oconsider doing something similar! Great post ! thank you!
