Groundhog Day Activities for PreK with FREE Shadow Matching Cards!

Today I'm sharing five groundhog day activities that you can do with this one set of {FREE} Groundhog Day Shadow Matching Cards! They're perfect for preschoolers, but you can also use them for older AND younger kids!!

What can you do with this adorable set of groundhog shadow matching cards? Here are a few ideas...

Groundhog Day Activities {with Groundhog Shadow Matching Cards!!}:

* Make a file folder game by using glue or tape to stick the shadows onto a file folder. Store the colored groundhogs in an envelope taped to the back of the folder. You can laminate the folder and colored pieces to make it last longer! When your preschooler or toddler is ready to play, pull out the colored pieces and match them to their shadow!

* Play a memory game! Simply turn all the cards (or just use half the cards for younger kids) upside down on the table and take turns flipping over two cards at a time. If you find a match, you get another turn!

* Play a speedy matching game! Turn all the cards upside down on the table and race to find matches all at the same time! Keep your matches and count them at the end to see who has the most sets! For younger preschoolers or toddlers, start the game with the cards face-up.

* Play an Old Maid-style game by shuffling the cards and dealing them to all the players. Look through your hand and set any matches on the table in front of you. Then take turns...on your turn, choose one card in your hand and ask one other player if they have the match to that card. If they have the match, they give it to you and you place it on the table in front of you. If they don't have the match, it's the next person's turn.

* Place all the cards (laminated) in a Montessori-style bin and let your preschoolers match and play with them however they want!
