Making Green (St. Patrick's Day Preschool Art & Science!)

This festive art project combines the science of color mixing with the St. Patrick's Day fun!  The set-up is quick and easy, and you probably have the supplies at home already!

Simple Supplies:
  • paper cut in the shape of a shamrock
  • blue and yellow paint
  • paintbrushes (optional!)
  • embellishments (optional!)

Easy How-to:

Give your children the shamrock, paint, and other supplies, and let them create a masterpiece!  As they paint, ask them what is happening when they mix the yellow and blue paint together.  Let them experience the learning with their eyes and hands!  If you choose, they can add any embellishments like plastic jewels, yarn cuttings, or flowers to their shamrock.  Finally, display their St. Patrick's Day Shamrock!

Other St. Patrick's Day Fun:

{FREE} St. Patrick's Day Preschool Packet

Lucky Clover Bubble Painting

St. Patrick's Day Rainbow Craft Writing Activity

{FREE} Rainbow Breakfast Printable

Shamrock Alphabets

I may share at any of these parties!
